WE ARE LA is a celebration of Los Angeles and the people that give our city LIFE. Together we celebrate the diversity of Angelenos (both native and transplant) through representation, authentic storytelling, and education.
Launched during Pride 2026, WE ARE LA spotlights six individuals who embody the strength and spirit of our community: Chi Chi Charlas, Joaquin Gutierrez, Luckie Alexander, Packrat, Ebony Lane, and Bamby Salcedo.
Each Local Hero was chosen due to their activism and involvement in the community. The range of their collective impact spans from entertainment to social justice with LGBTQIA+ activism and liberation at the center of it all.
